Driving COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Dominique Archie's putback with 1:01 left in overtime gave South Carolina the lead and the Gamecocks made 6-of-6 free throws the rest of the way to knock off Arkansas on Saturday, 82-78.

Following Archie's offensive rebound and bucket, Arkansas' Rotnei Clarke, who made 4-of-8 three-pointers, missed a trey. With 13 seconds to play, two Devan Downey free throws gave USC a 78-74 lead, but Jason Henry's three got the Razorbacks within one with seven seconds left.

Zam Frederick made two free throws with four seconds left and Downey two more with two seconds to play for the final margin.

South Carolina (19-6, 8-4) led by 11 late in the first half, but Arkansas (13-12, 1-11) got within 30-26 at the break.

Marcus Britt scored six straight Razorback points over a two-minute stretch to push a one-point lead to 50-46 with 8:51 remaining. USC led 61-58 with 4:03 left, but six straight Arkansas points by Henry and a layup by Courtney Fortson with 59 seconds to go put the Razorbacks in front 66-64.

Archie scored on a tip-in with 31 seconds to play and Arkansas had a chance to win in regulation, but Fortson turned the ball over in a collision with a pair of Gamecocks in the lane with six seconds left.

Downey led South Carolina with 25 points.

Henry made 11-of-18 shots and had game highs of 27 points and 12 rebounds for his second double-double in three games. Michael Washington had 10 points and 11 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season.

Fortson had 12 points and eight rebounds, despite being limited to 29 minutes with three fouls.

Arkansas goes on the road on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. non-televised game at Alabama.
